PAAS Privacy Policy

PAAS National®, LLC (“PAAS National®” or “PAAS”), is the owner and operator of web sites including www.paasnational.com and www.fwacertification.com (“Site” or “Sites”). We work to provide a safe web environment and are committed to PAAS National®’s Privacy Policy. We respect your privacy as a user of these Sites. Please read this Privacy Policy so that you can understand our policies such as what information PAAS collects, how that information is used, when and how it is shared, and how it is protected against unauthorized access.

PAAS reserves the sole and exclusive right to modify or supplement this Privacy Policy at any time. Note that this Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time, so you should check it regularly to make certain that you are kept up to date. The effective date notes the latest revision. 1. Information collected on the Site

PAAS collects two types or categories of information on its Site. In the first instance we collect information that you provide when you make a purchase on the Site, or register as a user for the Site, or participate in activities such as training or chats on the Site, and secondly information gathered about how you navigate the Site.

Information that you provide in the first instance includes demographic information about you and/or your pharmacy such as but not limited to NCPDP number, name, mailing address, telephone number, fax number, E-mail address. Other than a few exceptions explained in Section 3, we do not share this information with outside parties. In the second instance the Site receives and stores certain types of information whenever you access and interact with it. The Site may collect and log your IP address and your browser information, information on pages visited, frequency of visits, and length of time spent. We also use “cookies” and collect passwords to facilitate your navigation through the Site.

2. How PAAS uses the information you provide

The information you provide is used: (1) to control access to the Site; (2) to fulfill services and information you request; (3) to contact or communicate with you; (4) to understand how you interact with the Site; and (5) to customize your experience.

3. How your information is shared?

Information that you provide on the Site may be shared with PAAS’ vendors who are performing web or internet services. Neither PAAS nor our card processor stores payment card information that you provide on the Site. We encrypt personal and pharmacy specific demographic information that we store on servers controlled and operated by PAAS.

We may disclose personally identifiable information in special cases. If we find it necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against someone who may be violating the policies of the Site or PAAS or causing injury to or interference with the Site. PAAS also may disclose personally identifiable information if required by law. You should have no expectation that any information you provide is protected by client privilege.

4. How we protect the information you provide on the Site

This section of the Privacy Policy explains the commercially reasonable measures taken by PAAS to attempt to protect the information you provide against unauthorized use such as loss, misuse, alteration, destruction, or unauthorized access. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have commercially reasonable physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure your information. But please note that no method of transmitting or storing electronic data is completely secure.

Other than PAAS employees or its vendors on a “need to know basis” access to your information is protected by the user name and password that you provided. You may change your password at any time. As an added protection you are encouraged to change passwords periodically and to create complex passwords mixing upper- and lower-case letters, numbers and characters. When you finish using the Site, you should log out before exiting the Site.

Information that you provide on the Site is stored in encrypted databases that reside on servers controlled by PAAS. We use prudent and commercially reasonable measures utilizing both software and physical means to secure against unauthorized access. Access to your information by PAAS employees or third parties working on the Site is on a “need to know” basis, in which access is permitted only for specific jobs or job functions. We establish permissions to limit access.

Credit card and other personal information that you provide when making a payment is transmitted over the internet using a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection which is the industry-standard method for protecting confidential web communications from interception and hacking.

While PAAS takes commercially reasonable steps to secure your information collected on the Site, you should be aware that despite the security procedures that PAAS employs, no security system is impenetrable, nor can we guarantee that the information you provide will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the internet or residing on or through the Site. PAAS cannot promise or guarantee that your information will never be accessed, used, or released in a manner that is inconsistent with this Privacy Policy. In addition, you should not send confidential or personally sensitive information via e-mail unless in an encrypted format.

5. Acceptance of Privacy Policy by user

The use of this Site constitutes the user’s acknowledgement that they have read, understood, accept and agree to this Privacy Policy.
